Kale yeah!

I’m back from Smithers today, after a wonderful relaxing week with my mom and my best dog friend. You never realize how much you value spending time with people until you have to say goodbye.

I love green juice! Seriously, I go nuts with green juice. When I first started making smoothies and juices my favourite was always green juice. 

I added cilantro to this last minute, and it added a pleasant unexpected freshness. Even the fiancé, who refuses to put cilantro in anything, enjoyed this one.

This made enough for two and a little extra. Wash everything real good, remove the seeds from the apple, peel the lemon (or don’t but I’ll judge you).  

  • 2 bunches kale
  • 3 stalks of celery
  • 3/4 of a cucumber
  • 2 green apples
  • 1 lemon
  • handful of cilantro

This was seriously like an earthy green lemonade. Kale is full of calcium and potassium, as is celery which also has a bunch of vitamin A. Cucumber and granny smith’s also have lots of potassium and vitamin A. The moral is drink this one for potassium and vitamin A, friends. It’s good for your body.
